Update for Summer 2005

Dear All

Following a series of slightly irritable emails/messages to our office regarding the rather slow state of affairs here at Inertia we thought we should update you all on exactly what is going on here regarding the next installment of the Inertia story....
Hefner Update

Well, as many of you know we have been waiting endlessly for the culmination of what we think will be two absolutely amazing new albums from both Hefner and The Electones. Both have been strange and long journeys indeed with Hefner travelling between Berlin, London and Vancouver to complete what is only his second full studio artist album. As many of you also know he has been making his fine new album with Frazey Ford, lead singer of the Canadian rootsy/americana band The Be Good Tanyas. We are pleased to say that he is now mixing the album at a studio in Berlin. It is a monster. For those of you who are not so aware of Frazeys voice imagine a virginal, Dolly Parton with added soul - it is for us the most beautiful voice in music in the world today-there is none better.Add to this the songwriting , edgyness and pure innovation of Hefner and we think they have created a classic album.
It is useless for us to ramble on about this but we will shortly be putting some small clips up on the site so that you can hear for yourselves what they've created....we apologise to those people who have endlessly written in enquiring about the status- it will be worth the wait.Release dates of promos, singles, territories etc will also be put up on this site very soon.
The Electones

The Electones are slightly more mysterious as we are still awaiting the finished record. The songs are beautiful, ethereal but quite technical so there has been a lot of fine tuning to do.These are being done now.Look out for more news on this album in the next couple of weeks - clips, news etc will be forthcoming then.
Digital downloads available!

Lastly we'd like to tell you all that Inertia catalogue will be available on itunes as of next week (1st August). It will include nearly everything on Inertia and most importantly makes available all those tracks which were deleted, many of which have become collectors classics. Now you can get again, to name just a few, the ultra rare three track Evening with Hefner parts 1-3, the funk classic "Balance" by Hefner, the Cosmos remix of "Dive into You",the "Lone Wolf" EP by Victor Malloy. Tracks like these have been sort after by many musical obsessives for a number of years now and finally they are all available and sounding as good as ever.

If you are looking for the best download sites for our catlogue we would recommend Itunes and a smaller but very friendly one called Karma Download( which many of you will know already). You can get our catalogue on Napster if you wish....

Competition!

One extra thing - we have decided to give away a copy of every Inertia release on Vinyl to the first 25 messages left on our message board or email which list all time Inertia top tens. That is quite a lot of collectable vinyl for those who are interested. You will need to leave an authentic email adress where we can contact you for postal adresses etc.

Right then lets get moving..........
